The Create a Healthier Niagara Falls Collaborative (CHNFC) will host its fifth annual “Walk the Falls” event on Saturday, Sept. 18. So far, over 200 people have registered.

Brian Archie, integrator and change agent for the Create a Healthier Niagara Falls Collaborative, said he is excited for the event and is encouraging more people to sign up: “This is a way for us to come together and reclaim our beautiful city, reintroduce Niagara Falls to surrounding areas, e-reconnect with one another, and stay active.”

Participants are invited to walk, run or bike the loop route, which will start at the Niagara Falls Underground Railroad Heritage Center, located at 825 Depot Ave. W. The route will follow the Niagara Gorge Trail to Niagara Falls State Park and return to the Heritage Center for completion.

Registration will begin at 9:15 a.m., with the walk and other activities starting at 10 a.m. Those who plan to participate can sign up here.
