On the closing night of the 63rd annual Niagara County Peach Festival, the Lewiston Kiwanis Club presented a check in the amount of $4,000 to the John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital. The organization, on Sunday, also presented a check for $883.80 to Lewiston No. 1 Fire Co. This money will be used to purchase an additional automated external defibrillator for response vehicles.
Prior to naming a Peach Queen, the Kiwanis Club recognized recently retired WKBW-TV Channel 7 news anchor Keith Radford with its media award.
Funds raised at the Peach Festival are donated back to the community.
