Mayor Byron Brown announced the Buffalo Police Department’s B-District will hold a Community Day celebration on Friday, Aug. 20.
“Last week, hundreds of Buffalo residents attended Community Day events put on by C-District and E-District. These are great gatherings where residents of all ages enjoy themselves, while also making positive connections with our community policing officers and receiving free food and backpacks for the new school year,” Brown said.
The B-District Community Day will take place with live music, food and activities from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the JFK Recreation Center, 114 Hickory St. Grocery and backpack giveaways are on a first-come, first-served basis.
