HART (Home Assistance Referral Team) is a referral service that provides care to seniors and those needing assistance throughout Niagara County and adjacent areas, allowing them to remain independent in their own home.
The program is experiencing a significant increase in requests and is recruiting additional certified home care workers such as CNAs, HHAs, PCAs as well as noncertified home helpers, including cleaners and light outdoor cleanup persons, for fall and spring.
Rate of payment for care or assistance is mutually agreed upon by the person requesting services and the service provider. Neither the requestor nor service provider pay a fee to HART. Caregivers are prescreened through background checks, personal interviews, references and training verification.
HART is located at 505 Cayuga St., Lewiston. It services all of Niagara County and portions of northern Erie County. Those interested in registering with the HART team of caregivers and home helpers can call 716-754-8313 or email [email protected].
