Celebration commemorated partnership between center and The Eric Wood Fund

√ Clean Loop Recycling Center donated $5,000 directly to the foundation

The Clean Loop Recycling Center hosted a summer celebration event with The Eric Wood Fund. Hosted over the weekend at the CLRC, the event allowed patrons to donate their bottle and can deposit refunds to The Eric Wood Fund directly. The center also made a direct donation in the amount of $5,000 to The Eric Wood Fund in addition to donations raised from visitors who opted to have their deposit refund donated to Wood’s fund.

“We’re honored to partner with Eric Wood and his foundation to help children and families lacking critical resources staying at the John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital,” said Clean Loop Recycling spokesperson James Meola. “Our center is committed to Buffalo. Turning bottles and cans into working dollars can help better the lives of those in-need – and the environment.”

Visitors of the center began donating their deposit refunds directly to The Eric Wood Fund on July 27. Donated payouts support the Children’s Hospital of Buffalo Foundation through the Family Resource Center. Funds will be used to help provide vital services to families staying at the hospital with children that are chronically ill or suffering from life-threatening illnesses.

“I’m excited to be able to come back to Buffalo for the first time since the 2019 football season and make an impact for a cause I’m so passionate about alongside the Clean Loop Recycling Center,” said Wood, founder of The Eric Wood Fund and a former Buffalo Bill. “Thank you to all the fans that attended and donated!”

Lloyd Taco provided free tacos to visitors and Thin Man Brewery offered complimentary beer samples. Visors enjoyed outdoor games including Kan Jam and cornhole. A marketplace of pop-up vendors was also on-site to sell locally made goods. Vendors included:

·26 Shirts

·Effervescence Skincare

·Love Lake Valley

·Pathos and Pine Design Co.

·What’s Pop-in
