North Tonawanda’s Painters Plus is accepting applications for its 11th annual Project HOPE (Helping Others Paint Exteriors), which awards a free exterior home paint job to a selected applicant in need.

Started in 2010, the company said Project HOPE was created “to help people in need and improve neighborhoods one home at a time.” In the past, the project has awarded paint jobs to disabled veterans, families dealing with illness or financial hardships, elderly residents on a fixed income and handicapped individuals. Since the project’s inception, it has donated $75,000 in free jobs.

The 2021 winner will be selected Aug. 19. Painting is expected to begin Aug. 31.

Painters Plus is located at 800 Walck Road. For more information, or to fill out an application, visit www.PaintersPlus.us/community/project-hope/ or call 716-693-7587.
