Registration is now open for the annual William Mattar “Pencils 4 Schools.” Since the program’s inception, William Mattar has donated nearly 2 million pencils to educators and students throughout the community. From July 14 through Aug. 13, New York state educators may submit their request to receive a pencil donation for their school district.

“The ‘Pencils 4 Schools’ program will work differently this year, but the goal is always the same – to provide pencils for educators and their students,” William Mattar said. “We know many teachers purchase school supplies for their classrooms with their own money. Through our pencil donations, we hope to ease some of this burden and help teachers and students prepare for the school year ahead.”

To register for the William Mattar “Pencils 4 Schools” program, one must be a New York state educator scheduled to teach during the 2021-22 school year. Beginning on or around Aug. 16, various school districts will be selected to receive donations based on interest from registrants and the availability of supplies. Unlike previous years, William Mattar law offices will not host a drive-thru or in-person pick-up. Pencil donations will be shipped directly to school districts.
