Just before 1 p.m. Sunday, Niagara Falls Police Department responded to the 1600 block of Linwood Avenue after two men were shot.
One victim, a 28-year-old Niagara Falls man, suffered a gunshot wound to the upper body. A passerby and two responding officers attempted CPR, but were unable to save him. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second victim, 27 years old and also of Niagara Falls, suffered a gunshot wound to his foot. He was treated at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center ER-1, and is expected to make a full recovery.
