In conjunction with the Islandwide edition of the Island Dispatch, Niagara Frontier Publications asked for reader feedback. As an incentive, a prize would be given to one survey participant, as determined by a draw.
Terrie and Gary Sledziewski are the prizewinners. She recently visited the NFP office to claim a gift certificate to 773 North. Terrie, center, is shown with publishers Judy and Skip Mazenauer. (Photo by K&D Action Photo and Aerial Imaging)
The following is a reprint of an editorial posted upon receiving the survey results:
Thank you for reading your local news source for everything Grand Island – the Island Dispatch, A special thanks to those who completed our readership survey in February. We value your input in determining what kind of news you want to see in your paper.
We pride ourselves on providing the best community coverage – reporting news and attending events that are important to you – while highlighting people and places not covered by anyone else.
Since the pandemic began in March 2020, our advertisers have been struggling to keep their doors open, too. Without revenue generated from festivals, special occasions or regular shopping and dining opportunities, it has become a great challenge to continue on with this news service.
That’s where you come in.
Help support local news and the journalists who provide it to your family, friends and neighbors.
If you are not already a subscriber, please consider doing so. Let us know of any suggestions you have for news coverage. Just because the survey is complete, don’t hesitate to tell us what you think of the Dispatch and how it might be improved. Encourage family, friends and neighbors to buy a newsstand copy or become a subscriber
Or, sponsor a local business – and help that Mom and Pop retailer or restaurant to get its message out to the masses.
Thank you for your support.
We can’t do this without you.
