Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson vaccines being administered at ECMC vaccine center; availability of Pfizer vaccine expanded to 12-15-year-olds
Erie County Medical Center Corp., following guidance from the CDC and New York State Department of Health, is now administering the Pfizer vaccine for anyone 12 to 18 years old in its vaccine center. In addition, the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is also available in the ECMC vaccine center for the general public.
Walk-in vaccines are available, but the general public can also schedule a vaccine by visiting https://www.ecmc.edu/health-services-and-doctors/covid-19/ecmc-covid-19-vaccine-center/.
Conveniently located on the ground floor of ECMC’s main hospital at 462 Grider St., anyone seeking a vaccine can park in Lot C (accessed by Drive 3 off of Grider Street), and enter ECMC’s main entrance where they will be directed to the vaccine center.
The first hour of parking is free. The entire vaccine process will take approximately 30 minutes (including a required 15-minute respite after receiving the vaccine).
