Buffalo Niagara chapters of ASPA & PRSA host government spokesperson virtual panel

2 professional organizations team for free March 24 lunchtime event

An upcoming free event geared toward Western New York public relations and public administration professionals will explore the intersection of the two fields. The Buffalo Niagara chapters of the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA) and Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) jointly present a virtual panel discussion from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, titled, "Serving as an Elected Official's Spokesperson."

The event features some of the region's top government spokespeople, including: Peter Anderson, press secretary, Office of the Erie County Executive; Molly Hirschbeck, communications director, New York State Sen. Tim Kennedy; and; Theresa Kennedy, communications director, Office of U.S. Congressman Brian Higgins. The presidents for the local ASPA and PRSA chapters will moderate the Zoom panel discussion and include time at the end for questions from the audience.
