From Mayor Arthur Pappas:
The City of North Tonawanda will host a public “Welcome to Webster Street” event for downtown North Tonawanda’s newest business, SPoT Coffee, at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19.
Located at the newly redeveloped 54 Webster St., SPoT Coffee features a robust beverage menu with coffee, tea, espresso and smoothies. Using only the freshest ingredients – and with an eye for unique and colorful flavor – its daily menu features breakfast and lunch items such as salads, sandwiches, baked goods and pizzas.
54 Webster St., the historic former G.C. Murphy department store building, was purchased by local developer Ralph Dailey in 2018. This mixed-use property will include El Gringo Mexican Cantina in the storefront adjacent to SPoT Coffee, as well as second-story apartment units and additional commercial tenants.
Director of Community Development Michael Zimmerman said, “Redevelopment of this iconic mixed-use building in our downtown will draw new visitors to the Tonawandas, add jobs, and leverage the ongoing state and local investments made in our downtown.”
Pappas added, “Thank you to Mike and Community Development for getting this project off the ground. We are glad to have another great addition to our downtown area. Thank you, as well, to Ralph for choosing North Tonawanda. We’re glad to have you in our city.”
Masks and social distancing will be enforced at this event.
