At about 9:15 p.m. Sunday, a 24-year-old Niagara Falls man arrived at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center emergency room by personal vehicle with several gunshot wounds to his legs.
The mayor’s office said, “The victim was uncooperative, with his initial treatment being openly hostile towards police and medical personnel. The victim even walked-out of the hospital without treatment and would not cooperate with investigating officers. Police officers, however, fearing the victim would not survive the injuries without medical treatment, found the victim and returned him to the hospital where he was eventually treated and is expected to survive.”
The shooting is believed to have happened at 615 19th St. The investigation of this incident is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call the Niagara Falls Police detectives at 716-286-4553.
