UPDATE: Niagara Falls Police obtains shooting suspect

3:35 P.M. UPDATE: Arion Darrell was arrested today at approximately 2:15 p.m. in a home on the 600 block of 7th Street in Niagara Falls. He was taken into custody without incident.

Darrell is charged with murder in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree. He will be arraigned in Niagara Falls City Court.

Darrell is presumed innocent unless found guilty in a court of law.

Niagara Falls Police Department are looking for Arion Darrell for the Dec. 1 homicide of John Bruso at 19th Street and Welch Avenue in Niagara Falls. Bruso was shot several times while sitting in a parked car on Welch Avenue, just off of 19th Street.

Darell is an 18-year-old black male, 5 foot 7, 135 pounds. He may be armed with a handgun.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Niagara Falls Police Department. In addition, this information has been given to Crime Stoppers WNY. It is offering a reward, up to $2,500, for information leading to the arrest of Darrell. Call 716-867-6161.
