Sales will support Carnegie Art Center
The Carnegie Art Center is selling printed 2021 calendars as a fundraiser. The calendars feature a different work of art for each month of the year created by 12 artists living and working in Western New York. Calendars can be pre-ordered on the center’s website anytime and will be available for delivery and pick-up in mid-September. Sales from the calendars will support the Carnegie Art Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
The Carnegie Art Center will host a launch event and exhibition from 6-8:15 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17. The event will feature an exhibition of original artwork by the participating artists of the calendar. Participating artists include: Carol Case Siracuse, Beverly DiPalma, Joyce Hill, Joan Horn, Andy Krzystek, Gerald Mead, Cindi O’Mara, Beth Pedersen, Jennifer Ryan, Dennis Stierer, Muhammad Zaman and Jody Ziehm. All the artists are members of the Carnegie Art Center. Participating artists will be on site at the launch event to mingle and sign purchased calendars.
The launch party will take place outside on the center’s lawn and inside the gallery space to allow for social distancing. To adhere to state guidelines, all attendees of the event must preregister to visit during a one-hour timeframe that evening. Tickets to attend are free. Guests should wear a mask. One may preorder up to 10 calendars when reserving a ticket for the event, as well.
The pop-up exhibition featuring original artwork by the participating artists will be on view Sept. 17-25. Visit the center’s website to pre-order a calendar and/or register for the event.
“We are excited to launch the sale of this beautiful 2021 calendar for the community,” Program Coordinator Natalie Brown said. “Support of arts in our community is important and we look forward to your purchase of the calendar to help ensure that the Carnegie Art Center is around for many generations to enjoy!”
Calendars will be available for shipping or pick-up on Sept. 17. The center will resume regular gallery hours after Sept 17 (6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday; noon to 4 p.m. Friday, Saturday). For more information, call the center at 716-694-4400 or email [email protected].
