Lewiston Fire Co. No. 1 culminated its yearly fundraiser mailing with a drawing for a large-screen smart TV. This year’s winners were Arlene and Nick Sliz of Lewiston.
Every year, residents receive a letter from Chief Les Myers and President Barry Beebe about accomplishments in the past year. In this year’s report, attention was given to the COVID-19 pandemic and how it has affected Lewiston No. 1 and other first responder agencies.
Another memorable achievement was placing into service a new 2020 Lifeline Ambulance to better serve the residents.
A press release said, “The fire company was very happy with the response from the residents. Even in these challenging times, village and town residents were very supportive of the all-volunteer fire company. Residents are still encouraged to make tax-deductible donations with the reply envelope or through PayPal at www.LFD1.com.”
