The Niagara County Sheriff's Office is partnering with WNY Heroes regarding a free food distribution event for Niagara County veterans and military families.
Members of the NCSO will be at the Shawnee Volunteer Fire Co., 3747 Lockport Road, Sanborn, from 12:30-3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18. Niagara County veterans and their families are welcome to attend.
This is a first-come, first-served opportunity, with no preorders or deliveries available. One boxed set of meat, produce and dairy will be available per household.
Visitors are asked to open their trunk and wear their face masks as they approach the designated pickup location to expedite distribution and maintain proper social distancing. Proof of service is required and will be verified before the food is distributed.
