The Community Action Organization of WNY has launched a new text messaging service for clients in need called the “CAO text line.” The tool was implemented to better serve the community and prepare for the reopening of its sites and services. Text alerts will include important announcements, program and event flyers, contact information, and links to CAO’s website pages.
President and CEO of CAO L. Nathan Hare is looking forward to better serving clients in need.
“The CAO text line gives us the ability to respond to questions and inquiries about our services, office hours, eligibility requirements and more – plus it is in real-time,” Hare said. “Expanding our services to include texting is a great tool to aid our clients more efficiently.”
With Western New York beginning to reopen, CAO is preparing for opening back up, too. The organization is focusing on utilizing every possible communication strategy to service clients while minimizing face-to-face contact to keep clients and staff safe.
The community can subscribe to the CAO text line by texting “CAOWNY” to 474747 to bring 24/7 support, access to resources, and information to their fingertips.
The Community Action Organization of WNY was designated in 1965 as the official anti-poverty agency for Erie County with a mission to serve the unmet needs of the low-income population. Today, CAO serves more than 50,000 families and individuals within Erie and Niagara counties through a variety of programs and services. Visit caowny.org for more information.
