Coronavirus county update for April 30

The Niagara County Department of Health issued the following update on positive COVID-19 cases in Niagara County: “We regretfully report one new death of a Niagara County resident, a 70-year-old female with underlying health conditions. We send our deepest sympathies to her family and friends.

The rest of the update is as follows:

  • 20 new positive cases, for a total of 460 positives to date (isolations + recoveries + deaths)
  • 217 in isolation (194 isolating at home, 23 in hospital isolation)
  • 219 recovered
  • 24 deaths

Erie County

As of 4 p.m. Wednesday, Erie County had a total of 3,315 confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 47 on Grand Island and 1,321 in the City of Buffalo. To date, 15,219 people have been tested, with 254 deaths attributed to the coronavirus.
