The Grand Island Memorial Library will be closed to the public for the duration until further directives are received from the governor.
A press release said, “We will not be accepting material donations (books, DVDs, etc.) for the duration. The book drop will be closed for the duration. All currently checked-out library items will be due on April 30.
“We apologize for the inconvenience. These decisions were made in support of the current initiatives suggested by the Erie County Health Department commissioner and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) in an effort to reduce public exposure to the COVID-19 virus.”
