Staff members of Howard Hanna Real Estate Services’ Lewiston office on Wednesday presented a $2,000 check to representatives of the Oishei Children’s Hospital in Buffalo. The donation event, held at Lower Niagara Moose Lodge 584, represented one-half of proceeds from Howard Hanna’s 50/50 drawing held locally to benefit its “Children’s Free Care Fund.”

According to Howard Hanna literature, “ ‘Children’s Free Care Funds’ ensure medical care for every child in need regardless of coverage or the family’s ability to pay – even if their insurance has been exhausted or the patient requires cutting-edge treatments that insurance may not cover.”

Shown at the check presentation, from left, Village of Lewiston Trustee Claudia Marasco, Mayor Anne Welch and Deputy Mayor Vic Eydt with Howard Hanna’s Leo Notaro, Andrea Cristiano, Judy Perriello, Tammie Scibilia, Karen Salhany, Joel Rohring, Manager Gina Gigliotti, Mike Johnson, Janelle Rohring and Joe Mangano.

Gigliotti joined Welch to pull names for cash prizes. Winners included: Tim Kulack, $1,000; Karen Burns, $250; John Reynolds, $250; Louan Boconeg, $100; John Labrum, $100; Tina Asklar, $100; Melissa Agrew, $100; and Carol Urlsin, $100.
