The seventh annual Pasta Sauce-off will take place from 3-7 p.m. Saturday, March 21, at the LaSalle Yacht Club, 73 S. 68th St., Niagara Falls.
A fundraiser by Cooking for a Cure on to support the Courage of Carly Fund at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, the event will include samples of homemade pasta sauces as well as raffles. Admission is free, with $1 pasta sauce tastings, $5 for eight tastings, and $10 to try them all.
Allyson Nemeth, Cooking for a Cure president, is aiming to hit her goal of $50,000 raised; she has $44,000 to date.
Cooking for a Cure is officially sanctioned by RPCI and all proceeds benefit the he Courage of Carly Fund, a program that offers support for children diagnosed with cancer and serious blood diseases.
Cooking for a Cure is looking for:
•Participants to make a pasta sauce and enter as a challenger
•Items to be donated for the basket raffle
•Volunteers to work the event: set up, sell raffle tickets, bus tables, clean up.
