Niagara County provides funding to help YWCA of the Niagara Frontier

Preserving 24/7 domestic violence shelter & hotline

Niagara County Legislature Chairwoman Becky Wydysh, seated behind the desk, meets with YWCA of the Niagara Frontier Vice President of Programs Mary Brennan-Taylor and CEO Kathleen Granchelli to discuss several of the YWCA’s life-saving services.

Wydysh presented the YWCA with a check for $35,000 that, coupled with earlier county funding, will help ensure there is consistent 24/7 staffing at the emergency domestic violence shelter and the crisis hotline, which had been threatened by significant state budget cuts.
