Joan Ann Pax (née Hughes) of Grand Island passed away Jan. 24, 2020, at age 79. She was the loving mother of James W. (Karen) Pax, Jeffrey (Sheryl) Pax, Jacqueline (Joseph) Valente and Jason (Lori) Pax; cherished grandmother of nine grandchildren; dear daughter of the late Bernard and Noreen (née Cotter) Hughes.
The family will be present on Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the (Tonawanda Chapel) Amigone Funeral Home Inc., 2600 Sheridan Drive (corner of Parker Boulevard), where prayers will be offered on Monday, Feb. 3, at 9:15 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated from St. Stephen R.C. Church, 2100 Baseline Road, Grand Island at 10 a.m. Friends invited. If desired, memorials may be made to Hospice Buffalo Inc. Share condolences at www.amigone.com.
