Looking forward to spring, warmer weather, and a little green? Then join the Youngstown Garden Club at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, for “An Evening of Wintergreen” and garden-themed auction at First Presbyterian Church, 100 Church St.
Enjoy an evening of fun while savoring wines paired with cheeses and some sweet delights. The night starts out with a selection of houseplants for guests to choose and then lets people unveil their creative juices as they paint a pretty little pot for their own greenery. While the pots dry, start bidding on garden and patio items during our auction.
Proceeds from the fundraising auction benefit the World Gardening Project (Water for Sudan, The Navajo Water Project) sponsored by the Federated Garden Clubs of New York State.
Tickets for this event are $25 and are on sale at the Youngstown Diner, Youngstown Library and from YGC members. Ticket sales end Feb. 12. For more information, contact Linda at 716-531-2297.
