The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation will issue temporary seasonal dock permits for up to 50 docks along the West River Shoreline Trail on a first-come, first-served basis for the 2020 season.
Permit applications will be accepted beginning at 8 a.m. Feb. 1 and continue until 50 permits are issued. If all 50 permits are not issued that day, the office will reopen at 8 a.m. Feb. 3.
Interested parties must submit their application in person at the Beaver Island State Park office at 2136 West Oakfield Road, Grand Island. It is advised people call the office before visiting.
Permit applications and further information are available at the Beaver Island State Park office or online at www.parks.ny.gov/parks/56/details.aspx beginning Jan. 9.
