In support of the annual Light Up the Boulevard parade and festival, several Golden Age Center members have created a miniature replica of this event. Members who helped make this indoor version are, pictured, standing: Pat Ehinger, sitting: Lorraine Wilcox, kneeling: Anna Vaccaro.
Light Up the Boulevard takes place Saturday, Dec. 7, from 3-7 p.m. Festivities will be begin at Town Hall at 3 p.m. and end at 7 p.m. Grand Island Boulevard will be closed at 4:30 p.m. in anticipation of the Rudolph Run, which starts promptly at 5 p.m., followed by the Electric Parade and tree lighting in the Town Commons. In the Town Hall parking lot, there will be a large heated tent, food trucks, vendors, music, a gigantic snowman, a maze, and a large snow-globe to take your holiday pictures in. Inside, Town Hall will have activities, holiday movies for the kids, and a special visit from Santa himself.
