Arielle Lynn Reed, 28, of Grand Island passed unexpectedly on Nov. 2, 2019.
Arielle was celebrated for her erudite perspectives on life. Her alacrity challenged the intellect of those fortunate enough to engage in conversations – from culture, art, history, women’s studies and life in general. This acuity made Arielle the focal point of any gathering. She laughed loud, hugged long and loved her family. Arielle graduated in 2009 from Park School, Buffalo, received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto (with honors), and a Master of Arts History degree from the University of Memphis. Her experiences included teaching French in Ghana, English in South Korea, and translating ancient languages in the Valley of the Kings, Egypt, as an Assyriologist.
Arielle is the daughter of Paul and Danielle Chopra (Watkins), and Gordon Reed and Kerry Traynor; granddaughter of the late James and Gloria Watkins; sister of Gabrielle Reed and Thomas Reed; and stepsister of Olivia and Patrick Chopra and Declan and Aidan Albert. She is also survived by many, many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and her two beautiful angel-baby kitties, Luna and Layla.
Services were held privately with the immediate family.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, please send donations in honor of Arielle Lynn Reed to the Ten Lives Club, P.O. Box 253, North Boston, NY 14110.
