After 12 years in business on the Island, Lynda Gieselman and the family at Island Pets and Feed decided it was time to fly the nest of their old business location and move on up the boulevard.
Island Pets and Feed is a part of the new growth and improvement of business on the Island’s main street. The company is one of three that recently moved into a newly developed plaza owned by Larry Playfair at 2099 Grand Island Blvd.
“I love the building. It’s perfect,” Gieselman said of her brand new 1,800-square-foot suite. It’s a building that she said the hands-on owner takes great pride in.
Gieselman pointed out that at her last location, she opened for business to find wild birds had broken in to her store. Though this could be considered an endorsement of sorts for the wholesome food products at Island Pets and Feed, it was also a sign that it was time to move elsewhere.
The new location says “More” at every turn. In store, the building houses a new and expanded frozen section and more room for added growth potential to better serve customers.
The virtual business location is improved as well, as customers can order on their website (https://www.islandpetsnfeed.com/), and Island Pets and Feed delivers.
The website notes that customers now have the convenience of ordering online for in-store pick-up or delivery, with next-day orders over $49 delivered for free.
Island Pets and Feed can be reached at 76-773-1150 or [email protected].
Island Pets and Feed opens every day Monday through Saturday at 11 a.m., until 6 p.m. Monday and Friday; until 7 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday; and until 3 p.m. Saturday. (Closed Sunday.)
