Niagara Falls City Councilman Chris Voccio will lead a one-hour fall foliage walk along the Niagara River Gorge at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19. The walk will follow the upper trail between Whirlpool State Park and Devil’s Hole State Park.
“During peak colors, the views from this trail are breathtaking,” Voccio said. “This is a fairly easy walk for most people in decent physical condition.”
Hikers will meet Voccio at the Whirlpool State Park main shelter at 10 a.m. Because of the parkway removal project, hikers may want to park at DeVeaux Woods parking lot and walk to Whirlpool, or enter the parkway from Lewiston Road near Devil’s Hole.
