Niagara’s Choice Federal Credit Union recently donated the proceeds from its annual charity golf tournament to local veterans organization SERV Niagara. The Niagara County-based credit union holds a golf tournament each August to raise funds for a local charity.

“Being a credit union, we are always looking for opportunities to help others. Our charity golf tournament is just one of the ways we give back to the community around us. It is our honor to make this donation to such a worthy organization,” said Dan Keleher, CEO.

The mission of SERV Niagara is to provide basic human needs of food, clothing and shelter to veterans and their families in a compassionate and dignified manner. It also assists veterans with scholarship funding, therapeutic programs, holiday programs and community outreach.

“To everyone at Niagara’s Choice Federal Credit Union, we are so grateful for your continued support,” said SERV Niagara founder Jennifer D’Andrea. “With the holidays quickly approaching, this extremely generous donation will allow us to spread good cheer to veteran families throughout the county.”

Niagara’s Choice FCU serves over 24,000 members with six branches throughout Niagara County. For more information, visit www.niagaraschoice.org or call 716-284-4110. For more information on SERV Niagara and its programs for veterans, visit www.servniagara.org or call 716-438-5437.
