The Lewiston Garden Club has been making additional improvements to Seneca Park near the Lewiston Library with funds from GardenFest 2019.

Last year, the Garden Club facilitated the cleanup of landscape in the park. This year, the Garden Club re-installed the metal flower sculpture in a fresh garden bed surrounded by hydrangeas. A bronze sculpture of two children on a bench reading a book will also be installed in the park soon.

A work group gathered on Friday to sand and paint the wood benches that had been recently power-washed by the Village of Lewiston’s Department of Public Works.

Shown in the photo taken by Barbara Landree are Doreen Albee, Robert Albee, Della Vining Hall and Marianne Gittermann.

Landree, co-chair of GardenFest 2019, expressed thanks for the support given to GardenFest, which enables the Garden Club to contribute to civic beautification.
