Niagara Greenway Commission announces next round of meetings

The Niagara River Greenway Commission will meet Tuesday, Sept. 10, to review the 87th round of project submissions. The meeting will begin promptly at 3 p.m. in the Niawanda Park Pavilion in the city of Tonawanda.

The projects on the agenda for the meeting are:

•Gratwick Riverside Park improvements, City of North Tonawanda

•The Joseph Sutherland Farm and Nature Preserve, Town of Niagara Farmland Conservancy

Public comment on these projects will be accepted through Sept. 3. The project proposals are available at www.niagararivergreenway.com under Projects -> Current Projects. Comments may be submitted electronically through the website or emailed directly to [email protected]. Hard copy comments may be sent to the commission at P.O. Box 1132 Niagara Falls, NY 14303. Public comment may also be made at the meeting.

The Niagara River Greenway Commission is a public benefit corporation established by Chapter 460 of the laws of 2004 and charged with the planning and development of the Niagara River Greenway, a network of interconnected parks, river access points and waterfront trails from Lake Erie to Lake Ontario.
