Thursday evening, co-promoters of the 2019 Release the Kraken Bench and Deadlift Meet, Tom Stevenson and Mark Becht, handed the Niagara SPCA, 2100 Lockport Road, a check for $640.
The check was a donation of the proceeds gathered at the recent weightlifting meet. The event designated the Niagara SPCA as the awarding charity.
