Niagara Falls State Park will present the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra for “Pride at the Falls,” a concert celebrating World Pride 2019 and the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall uprising.

The concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 5, in the East Meadow on Goat Island in Niagara Falls State Park. At 10 p.m., the falls will be lit in rainbow colors and there will be a firework show.

In the event of inclement weather, the show will be held in the Niagara Falls High School auditorium, 4455 Porter Road. Check the Niagara Falls State Park Facebook page that day to confirm location.

Commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall uprising, World Pride 2019 is being hosted in New York City throughout the month of June. It’s the first World Pride to be hosted on U.S. soil, and the second North American World Pride in the event’s nearly 20-year history.

Concertgoers are welcome to bring folding chairs and blankets to enjoy the evening. They are encouraged to arrive early.
