Wheatfield Business Association awards 3 Scholarships & 2 members win awards

The Wheatfield Business Association presented three Niagara-Wheatfield High School students with $300 scholarships at its previous meeting. The 2019 scholarship recipients are Nicole Guldin, Sarah LoCurto and Quinn Darlak. 

Guldin will attend the University at Buffalo and major in engineering; LoCurto will attend Duke University and major in neuroscience; and Darlak will attend Buffalo State College and major in business finance. 

The WBA said it was an enjoyable dinner and conversation at Yubb’s Restaurant.

Additionally, at the Niagara USA Chamber’s Small Business Awards night, held at the Niagara Falls Country Club, two WBA members received awards. Dan O’Farrell received the Wheatfield Business Association’s Business of the Year. O’Farrell operates Dan the Man Old Fashioned Ice Cream Stand at 2460 Niagara Falls Blvd. and Dan the Man Inc. in Niagara Falls. 

Jeff Kasper received the WBA’s Business Person of the Year. Kasper operates WNY Synthetics, featuring AMSOIL synthetic oil.
