Upcoming ribbon cuttings in North Tonawanda

The following is a list of two ribbon cuttings in the City of North Tonawanda. 

Grand-opening of Brownies Sports Bar & Tavern

Lumber City Development Corporation recently announced a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Brownies Sports Bar & Tavern, located at 775 Oliver St., North Tonawanda. Brownies Sports Bar & Tavern will provide customers with food, appetizers and a variety of beer and well-known liquors. 

With assistance from Lumber City Development Corp., owners Steve and Lynda Brown have redeveloped the former bar and restaurant into a state-of-the-art sports bar and tavern with an outdoor patio and live entertainment. 

“We are so excited to have a new destination on the corridor, which will help accelerate our Oliver Street revitalization efforts,” said Laura Bernsohn of Lumber City Development Corp.  

The public is invited to the ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand-opening celebration for Brownies Sports Bar & Tavern at 3 p.m. June 26.

Grand-opening of Just Say Cheesecake Bakery & Café 

Lumber City Development Corp. in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce of the Tonawandas, recently announced a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Just Say Cheesecake Bakery & Café, located at 106 Webster St., North Tonawanda. Just Say Cheesecake will provide customers with coffee, breakfast, lunch, catering and more. 

After 30 years in their original location on Sheridan Drive in Amherst, owners Jim Fingerlow and Dan Quigley decided to move their operations to downtown North Tonawanda. 

The public is invited to the ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand-opening celebration for Just Say Cheesecake Bakery & Café at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 21.
