This year will mark the 10th year the Niagara River Region Chamber of Commerce has hosted a golf tournament. While the format has changed a bit from the first tournament, the camaraderie and friendly competition has remained constant.

The Chamber of Commerce formatted the tournament last year to encompass a different type of golf that all could enjoy: an 18-hole miniature golf event. The popular tournament will return to Academy Park in the Village of Lewiston on Thursday, July 18.

Registration check-in will start at 5 p.m., with a “shotgun start” at 5:30 p.m. Each team will play 18 holes of miniature golf to determine the best putters in the River Region. Registrants also will enjoy contests and dinner.

Members will have the opportunity to showcase their business or organization with a display table, creating a networking element within the evening activities. Registration is required for participation in golf, dinner or setting up a business table.

Chamber President Jennifer Pauly encouraged members to register.

“This type of event is one where our members are able to have fun and compete for great prizes in a setting that is a little competitive – but in a good way!” she said. “You don’t have to have special golfing skills to participate.”

Foursome teams can register by calling 716-754-9500. The entry fee is $200 per team.

If one doesn’t have a team but would like to participate, the chamber will find that person a squad.

Dinner only is $25 per person (pre-sale registrations required).

Event and tee hole sponsorships are still available.

This event is rain or shine, and pre-registration only. For additional information, visit www.NiagaraRiverRegion.com.
