'Nurturing in the Neighborhood' programs offered for children living in Falls' south end

Niagara University, Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, and the Niagara Falls City School District are bringing free children and parenting activities to residents of Niagara Falls’ south end throughout the summer.

Funded by the Health Foundation of Western and Central New York, activities designed for children ages 2-4 will be offered Tuesdays and Thursdays in May, June, and July at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, 621 10th St., Niagara Falls. Activities include early childhood learning, early reading skills, parent strategies, food and nutrition, recreational fun, behavioral health, developmental screenings, and social interactions. Snacks will be provided.

There will be two sessions each day, one from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., and one from 1:30-4 p.m. The Tuesday dates are June 4, 11, 18, and 25; and July 9 and 16. The Thursday dates are May 30; June 6, 13, 20, and 27; and July 11, and 18.
