Ransomville Speedway canceled racing for tonight after heavy overnight rains fell on an already saturated facility. The driveway to the facility has been flooded and is not safe for pedestrians to pass through at this time.

This marks the third straight Friday night speedway officials have been forced to call off on-track activity due to weather.

So far in 2019, the only laps run at the "Big R" were during a midweek practice session after the originally scheduled “Test, Tune & Time Night” was canceled. Speedway officials said they hope the third time's the charm to get the first race of the 2019 season in the books next Friday.

Fantasy Island, United Materials and Bailey Brothers Landscaping will present “Autograph Night” on May 17. Fans can meet their favorite drivers during an on-track autograph session.

The Krown Undercoating 358 Modifieds, Investors Service Sportsman, Ki-Po Chevrolet Street Stocks, Gippster's Collision Mini Stocks and Stevenson's Hardware Novice Sportsman will (hopefully) get on track for their first competitive laps of the season. Racing starts at 7:15 p.m.

The twice-postponed opening round of the Can-Am Thunder Stock Challenge will now be run next Friday. The first race of the Mini Stock Super Series between Ransomville and Genesee Speedways will not be made up.

The following Friday, May 24, is the first 4-Cylinder Demolition Derby of the season. Party suites are still available for this event, which also includes a $2,000-to-win 358 Modified feature.

Ransomville Speedway is located on Braley Road in the hamlet of Ransomville. For more information, visit www.ransomvillespeedway.com or call 716-791-3602 or 716-791-3611.
