NORLIC continues fight against blight
The Niagara Orleans Regional Land Improvement Corp. (NORLIC) voted to accept a North Tonawanda home in an effort to return abandoned properties to productive use.
The five-bedroom, three-bathroom house is located at 162 Vandervoort St.
NORLIC will be accepting offers for the property until May 27, and will vote to award the property on May 31.
NORLIC was formed in 2017 and is a municipal partnership that works with communities to acquire vacant and abandoned properties, partnering with the cities of North Tonawanda, Niagara Falls and Lockport, as well as the County of Orleans.
“Through this acquisition, we continue our effort to restore communities and revitalize areas that have long awaited the attention they need,” said Legislator Richard Andres, R-North Tonawanda, who sponsored the resolution to create NORLIC in 2017.
Those who are interested should contact Andrea Klyczek, deputy commissioner of economic development and president of NORLIC, at 716-278-8761 or [email protected].
