Sen. Ortt expected to join elected leaders in NT

New York State Sen. Robert Ortt is expected to join Niagara County Legislator Randy Bradt, Niagara County Clerk Joseph Jastrzemski and President of the Second Amendment Forever Chapter Niagara County Ed Pettitt to host a Second Amendment forum at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 9, at Stephen Sikora Post, 950 Payne Ave., North Tonawanda. Attendees will learn about an array of gun-related issues, including new laws, legislation, SAFE Act information and how to renew and reregister gun licenses.

“It is of the utmost importance that we hold this forum to allow the public to be informed on such a crucial matter,” said Bradt, who is sponsoring the forum. “A well-informed citizenry will ensure the protection and preservation of our constitutional rights.”

Jastrzemski stressed the importance of understanding the new legislation and what impact it will make: “We want to protect our gun owners’ rights – which are clearly laid out in the Second Amendment – and the pistol permitholders in Niagara County need to continually be informed of the requirements under the SAFE Act.”
