Yahya Hashmi, M.D., has been appointed associate chairman of internal medicine at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital. The appointment was announced by Thomas Cumbo, M.D., vice president of medical affairs/chief medical officer, and hospital President and CEO Gary C. Tucker.
Hashmi succeeds Frank Ferraro, M.D., in the post, and will represent internal medicine and its medical divisions within Mount St. Mary’s Hospital. In addition, he will lead the quality and patient safety program for internal medicine along with other initiatives.
Board-certified in internal medicine, Hashmi is associated with the practice of Todd Orszulak, M.D., at TMO Medical PC on Military Road in the Town of Niagara.
