Sauret recognized for attaining status for New York Medicaid Electronic Health Records

John Sauret, M.D., medical director of the Mount St. Mary’s Neighborhood Health Center, received notification he completed the requirements for the New York Medicaid Electronic Health Records Incentive Program.

The program is part of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and is designed to improve interoperability and patients´ access to health information. The initiative is dedicated to improving a patients’ access to health information, with measures that focus on improving patient outcomes by utilizing the electronic health record to the greatest extent possible. This includes sending electronic prescriptions, access to the patient portal, and increasing patient education.

Each year, certain criteria and goals have to be met in order to participate in the program. Sauret and his office have worked over the past six years to be able to achieve this status.
