Sr. Nora to be recognized for her decade of service at Mount St. Mary’s Neighborhood Health Center

The Mount St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation will hold its annual $1,000 reverse draw dinner fundraiser on Wednesday, March 27, at The Wurlitzer Building, 908 Niagara Falls Blvd., North Tonawanda. Sister Nora Sweeney, D.C., social worker at the Mount St. Mary’s Neighborhood Health Center, will be honored for 10 years of service to those in need.

Tickets are $75 per person and include dinner, an entry number in the drawing, and beer, wine and soda. Only 350 tickets will be sold. Proceeds for the event will be dedicated to Sweeney’s works at the Neighborhood Health Center at 3101 Ninth St., Niagara Falls.

The event is the continuation of an event that, for many years, was conducted by the Temple Beth Israel. In recent years, the leadership of the temple bestowed the fundraiser to Mount St. Mary’s. This year’s event is co-sponsored by the Mount St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation,
St. Francis Guild auxiliary and board of associates.

The evening will begin at 6 p.m., with the program at 6:45 p.m. and dinner to follow. The drawing of numbers will begin at 8 p.m.

The volunteers leading the event are Robert J. Travis, CPA, and David Maries, representing the Mount St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation; Mary Ricciardi representing the St. Francis Guild; and Anthony Ricco representing the board of associates.

For tickets or more information, call the Mount St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation at 716-298-2143. Contributions to foundation are tax-deductible.
