Last week, the Small Business Council presented Assemblyman Angelo J. Morinello the Guardian of Small Business Award “for his consistent advocacy for small businesses in New York state,” a press release stated. This prestigious award is presented to legislators who vote in support of small businesses and “who champion issues affecting businesses in New York state.”
“Each year, our state’s poor business climate makes it tougher for small businesses to survive, so I’ve made it my priority to fight for pro-business legislation to help them grow and prosper,” Morinello said. “It’s time for the Legislature to put aside petty debates and start tackling the important issues that will help our state. If we work together to cut taxes and pass regulatory reform, we’ll help thousands of businesses statewide that are struggling.
“I’d like to thank the Small Business Council for its advocacy and dedication to helping our small businesses, and for presenting me with this esteemed award.”
