On Friday, St. Peter’s R.C. School will host its annual “Valentines for Veterans” event. The students will share their thanks and support to veterans by creating valentine cards, which will be delivered to the Buffalo VA Medical Center. This year, veterans and active service members who may be parishioners and/or family members of the student body are invited to join in for a special 9:15 a.m. mass in the church to honor past and current service men and women.
The Niagara Falls Air Station Honor Guard will be at the mass to post colors and perform a flag-folding ceremony. The national anthem will be sung by seventh-grader Elizabeth Wagner.
