City of North Tonawanda Mayor Arthur G. Pappas and his wife Linda announced the upcoming ninth annual Mayor’s Charity Snowflake Ball to be held on Saturday, Feb. 16 at the Knights of Columbus located at 755 Erie Ave., North Tonawanda.
This year, the charity chosen to benefit is Twin Cities Meals on Wheels. They serve hot and cold nutritious meals to the cities of North Tonawanda and Tonawanda. Meals are available on both a long-term and short-term basis. Approximately 26,000 meals are served annually with five routes in North Tonawanda and four routes in Tonawanda. Thanks to Karl Bauer and the rest of the drivers, servers, community partners, volunteers and donors, this continues to be a great program and helps those in need.
The festive charity event is an evening of music, cocktails and food, most of which is donated by local restaurants. Locals are encouraged to consider attending the event or donating to the cause. One can call the North Tonawanda Mayor’s Office at 695-8540 to make reservations.
