Niagara-Wheatfield, Starpoint and Lewiston-Porter schools are hosting a College Information Night for college-bound sophomores and juniors from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, in the Niagara-Wheatfield High School auditorium.

The evening will begin at 5:30 with college admissions representatives from the University at Buffalo, Daemen College, Niagara University, Niagara County Community College and Buffalo State handing out admission information and talking with parents.

The program will continue at 6 p.m. in the Niagara-Wheatfield High School auditorium where parents will receive information on the college application timeline, followed by a panel discussion with the college admissions representatives talking about what they look for when making admissions decisions.

There will then be two breakout sessions where parents can attend more formal presentations from the five colleges, as well as presentations on the “Nuts and Bolts of Applying to College,” “NCAA Requirements and Playing Sports in College,” and “The Financial Aid Process.”

Parents may contact their school’s counseling office with any questions.
