The Niagara County Law Enforcement Academy is holding an information session for people interested in learning more about becoming a police officer. The session takes place at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, in Dunleavy Hall, Room 127, on the Niagara University campus.

Attendees will be able to ask questions, meet the police academy co-directors, and hear from current recruits and past graduates. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged; call 716-286-8189 or email [email protected].

Participants in the academy will learn up-to-date regulations, procedures, and the latest defensive tactics, and earn a basic certificate that qualifies them for employment in the field of law enforcement upon successful completion.

The academy is not limited to Niagara County residents. For more information and for an application, visit www.niagara.edu/nclea.
